About
A site to choose your safari
Safari Trip brings together guides to parks and reserves: the animals you see there and when, which of the Big Five live there, the best season, park fees, how to get there, the budget and where to stay. Each guide answers the question you ask before you book: is this park for me, and when should I go?
Where the information comes from
The figures come from sources we checked: park authorities and their fee schedules, domestic airlines, government travel advice for visas and health, and scientific work for the species. Each guide shows the date it was last checked, and we go back over them one by one. A mistake, a price that has changed, a new rule: tell us on the Contact page and we will fix it.
How the site is funded
The site is free and needs no account. It is funded by affiliate links: when you book accommodation or an activity through the site's links and its accommodation map (Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com and GetYourGuide, through Stay22), we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The agencies and lodges named in the guides are there because they publish their prices. Nobody pays us to appear on the site, and we publish no sponsored articles.
Who is behind it
Safari Trip is published by Kaviar Creative, a French company that also publishes Trip Planner, a travel itinerary planner, and Dive Sites, the same format applied to scuba diving. The publisher's details are on the legal notice page.
